Mini

Introduction.

This page was last updated 25/04/2008

Once, a very long time ago, the Mini Boglins lived happily in their swamp. The king Boglin noticed that the swamp was drying up and wisely sent scouts to find new places to live. Some were successful, others were captured and yet more were lost and never heard of again. The places each Tribe found were unusual but led by their Chiefs, they settled into their new homes. All but the king-who disappeared and has not been seen for a very long time.........

The Chiefs all have three horns.

There are limited editions in gold and silver. They have been given the title of "Sir" for being strong and brave and special edition scouts who are black and therefore cannot be seen while out scouting in the night.

The Mini Boglins have a new enemy-the evil hooded Klorr, himself a Mini boglin who disobeyed the king and was cast out to far-away lands.

However, Klorr has learnt new powers and has returned to overthrow and capture the King Mini Boglin, taking his throne for himself. He uses his evil powers to capture Mini Boglins and put them under his spell so that they will fight for him.

Mini Boglins are about 1 inch square and made from solid PVC.

They were manufactured by various companies including 7 Towns Ltd for the toy group and distributed under the label.

Originally, in 1991, there were 36 Boglins, 6 tribes of 6.In 1992 there were 56 Boglins, 8 tribes of 7 and by 1994, the tribes had increased to 8 members, a chief, a scout, a spy, a messenger, and 4 ordinary tribe members. Along the way some of the earlier members were retired and new members added.

Some time later still more Mini Boglins appeared on the scene.

The Mini Boglins came originally in 6 colours but soon increased to nine, red, green, blue, orange, dark orange, yellow, purple, silver, gold.

The Mini Boglins have developed Secret Battle Codes to help fight the evil Klorr- and scouts have been sent out to find out where he is.

There are Spies too, who carry secret information- but beware, because some already work for the evil Klorr.

Part of the figures have secret labels that become visible when the Boglins are heated. The labels become invisible again when the figures cool off. These labels are "Secret Battle Codes" and are used to play the Boglins battle. This is described in the "The Secret Code Booklet" that came with the figures.
